Help Shape the Future of Ilam School

We are excited to share the proposed Ilam School Master Plan, a vision designed to enhance our physical environment and create better learning and play spaces for all our students.

To ensure our school truly reflects the needs of our community, we need your voice. We are currently seeking feedback on several key projects, ranging from major facilities to the smaller "heart" spaces of our school.

Part 1: The Big Projects – What Matters Most?

We have identified three major expenditure items that could transform our outdoor activity year-round. We want to know how you would prioritize:

• The Artificial Turf Field: A low-maintenance, all-weather surface to eliminate winter mud.

• The Middle School Court Roof: Providing sun and rain protection to extend our hall and outdoor play.

• Swimming Pool Upgrade: Modernizing and heating the pool for student lessons and community use.

Part 2: Your Vision for Smaller Spaces

It’s not just about the big builds! We want your creative ideas for several specific areas:

• Welcoming Entrances: How can we improve the Ilam Road and Kirkwood Ave entries to make them safer and more inviting?

• New Play Zones: With the upcoming removal of Rooms 13–16, what play equipment or features would be great here?

• Student Courtyards: Help us reimagine the space outside Rooms 19 & 20.

• Cultural Identity: What cultural art or design elements would you like to see woven into our school’s landscape?

Please complete the online google consultation form or collect a hard copy from the office.  Whether you feel a project is "Very Important" or "Should Not Be Done," your feedback is vital in helping the Board of Trustees prioritise our next steps.
