Attendance Management Plan
At Ilam School, we know that regular attendance is the cornerstone of student success. Beyond meeting legal requirements under the Education and Training Act 2020, consistent participation helps our ākonga build foundational knowledge, lasting social connections, and a true sense of belonging within our kura. We work in partnership with our families to ensure every student is present, on time, and ready to reach their full potential.

lam School: 2025 Student Achievement Update
Our 2025 end-of-year data shows strong academic performance, with the majority of students meeting or exceeding New Zealand curriculum expectations:
Reading: 71% within or beyond expectations.
Writing: 79% within or beyond expectations.
Math (Number & Algebra): 74% within or beyond expectations.
Looking Ahead to 2026 We are focused on continuous improvement by upskilling all teachers in Better Start Literacy and partnering with experts like Dr. Murray Gadd to enhance our writing programs. Our priority remains using data-driven insights to provide targeted support and ensuring regular attendance to help every child succeed.
